Halloween is a here and while I will be sitting outside my home with candy, awaiting waves of kids to come by I will also be helping my community and the parents with keeping it as safe as possible. I urge them all to take precautions both before and after trick-or-treating to keep children safe.
Here are some tips:
Treat Tips:
- Don’t allow children to eat any candy before it is inspected for signs of tampering such as ripped packaging, pinholes, discoloring or any other unusual appearance.
- Children should only eat commercially prepared and packaged snacks. Homemade candy or baked goods should be discarded. (sad but necessary)
- If juice or cider is served to children at Halloween parties, make sure it is pasteurized or otherwise treated to destroy harmful bacteria. Don’t allow children to accept drinks from unknown people.
Costume Tips:
- Use of safe face paint rather than a mask can help children see better and avoid dangerous objects such as cars and tripping hazards. Follow all paint directions and never decorate a child’s face with things that are not intended for use on skin. If decorating skin with a product you have never used before, try a dab on an arm for a couple of days to check for an allergic reaction before applying to one’s face.
- Decorate or trim costumes with reflective material hat will glow in the beam of a car’s headlights.
- Purchase only flame resistant costumes, masks, beards, and wigs.
Trick or Treating Tips:
- An adult, or an older, responsible child should always accompany small children.
- Children should walk, not run, from house to house using sidewalks, instead of walking in the street.
- Children should only approach houses with outside lights on as a sign of welcome.
- Carry a flashlight to help see and be seen.
- Children should not enter homes or apartments of strangers.
- Be aware of obstacles on lawns, steps and porches, especially candle-lit jack-o-lanterns that may be brushed by a child’s costume, as the costume may catch fire.

Do You Have Harmful Habits to Overcome?
Do you eat salt and salty foods? Do you drink coffee? Use tobacco? Alcohol? Use refined white sugar or eat products with this devitalized material in it? What de-vitaminized and de-mineralized foods are dragging you down and draining your energy? Is your willpower weak or strong? Does your mind control your appetites? Remember that flesh is dumb and can't think for you. Only with positive thinking can you overcome the bad habits that your flesh might crave. If you are SERIOIUS about your health, tremendous strength, vital force and a trim and fit body you will be proud of, start working with Mother Nature today and not against her!
 Everyone knows or has at least heard once or twice about how the people of the East fast at a certain religious time on a regular basis every year. But why is it we do not study this further and pay attention to what it is really about? I come from the Middle East. The eating habits there are much healthier and the food they consume is much better for the body. But that does not mean they are completely healthy or that they do not consume the same devitalized and harmful things we do here in the West? Not really. But somehow how they are so much healthier and live longer. What is the secret?
In the past I believe that prophets used the power of religion to help guide the masses in the right direction. In the Middle East Prophet Mohammad told Muslims that in order for their prayers to be heard or valid, they had to perform the "vozoo" which is the quick washing of head to toe. Was this really there as a religious necessity? Or did he feel at the time that the Arabs would not understand or listen to his talks about health and personal hygiene? Thus it makes me wonder about fasting. Did the religious leaders connect this marvel of health and fitness to their religious practice because they felt it would induce thousands of people to practice what Western doctors have said to be The Greatest Discovery of Modern Times? I think so.
Mankind is nothing without his health. You can have every bit of wealth and power in the world but without your health they all mean nothing and turn into mud. In my spiritual studies I have learned just how connected we are to Earth and Nature. All the elements found on Earth naturally exist in our bodies. The ancient health methods in the East have always fascinated me and shown me just how easily one can CURE anything if armed with the knowledge on how to activate and release certain chemicals in the body using the power of the mind. And then there is the method of getting certain chemicals and toxins OUT of the body. That is the miracle of fasting.
Ben Franklin (one of my favorite peeps in the history of our Nation) said once: Who is strong? He that can conquer his bad habits.
We all have bad habits. Americans eat fast foods 30 Billion Times a Year! USA Today said 44% of junk food eaters are 35 years or older. Only 23% are youth under 17 years old. Most people think they can attempt to break all of Mother Nature's laws of healthful living then run to a doctor to circumvent these natural laws by having a medical "miracle" fix-all for their misery.
All those inorganic chemicals must be passed out of your body or they can cause great damage. If the body's Vital Force drops too low then it can't force these inorganic chemicals through your eliminative systems. Then they remain in the body and can cause grave health damage in the future! If we are to get these poisons out of our bodies we must fast. By fasting we give our bodies a physiological rest. This rest builds Vital Force. The more Vital Force we have, the more toxins are going to be eliminated from the body to help keep it clean, pure and healthy. You must remember that it is the toxic debris and wastes of metabolism (from the biological process of converting food into living matter and the matter into energy) that bring on many physical ailments and premature ageing.
Do you know just how much Vital Force it takes to pass a large meal through the gastrointestinal tract and also eliminate the waste via the 30 foot tube that runs from the mouth to the rectum? It takes the great power of Vital Force to pass liquids through the 2 million filters of the human kidneys. It takes Vital Force for the chemical power of the liver and the gallbladder to do their work in preparing food for the billions of body cells. It takes great Vital Force for the lungs to deeply inhale up to 2 quarts of oxygen with each breath, to purify the entire bloodstream in your body and expel the toxins and the carbon dioxide. It takes great Vital Force for the skin (bet you did not know that one did you/) with its 96 million pores, to throw off body toxins in the form of skin rashes, pimples, sweat and foul body odors. Why do you think it is that when you eat a lot of garlic you smell it off your skin pores? Imagine the body being an engine that needs to rest every once in a while and get a complete tune up and flush out all the bad oils and fluids for better life span. Fasting gives your body a chance to build up vital energy to do all that again.
Some people will blame everything on earth except food as the cause of their physical miseries and premature ageing. Why they are suffering is always a mystery to them. The average person does not know how horribly unclean the inside of their body is, caused by years and years of overeating, eating when not really hungry and, in many cases, wrong-minded eating of dead (nutritionally useless), de-vitalized foods. All these unhealthy habits build up internal poisons and clogging toxic wastes in their bodies.
Fasting has also helped many people develop a keen extrasensory perception and inner peaceful tranquility of mind.
After fasting your eyes become brighter and all the natural senses of the body seem to be sharper! After a fast, your food tastes better, the fruits and the vegetables taste great, because of your newly revitalized taste sense! Your body seems to be tireless and you will sleep like a baby after a fast. There are so many rewards from a fast that only a person who has actually fasted can truly realize the great benefits that are achieved.
Most of us here in the U.S. are slaves to food! We must have breakfast, lunch and dinner at regular meal hours every day, year in and year out. We eat whether we are hungry or not, and our poor bodies are burdened by overeating . . . and usually poor nutrition as well! No wonder we have so many health problems compared to the people of the East! Imagine if you could be the master of your food and build up the intestinal and spiritual strength to control your eating urges, fast and allow your body to rebuild the vital energy it needs to process and get rid of the toxins and poisons.
If you are sitting there reading this saying "But it’s HARD!" just remember if you keep saying to yourself that you can do it and that it is easy... then it is EASY. It just takes confidence and power of the mind. And it is SAFE. You can not harm yourself if you do it right. You just have to make sure you study it and have a good game plan for fasting. Knowing what hours of the day not to eat anything but make sure you drink water. Then at the end of the day you consume healthy vegetables or fruits that will re-vitalize your body.
